ClearSocial

ClearSocial is a multi-platform web-based social media client that includes plugins and middleware to enhance the user experience. At its core is the Social-media Abstraction and Integration Layer (SAIL) which abstracts proprietary features of each supported social network.

The project aims to use generative AI to solve a number of issues with the current social media environment:

1. Overload. The sheer volume of posts is unmanageable. ClearSocial uses summarization to help.

2. Toxicity. ClearSocial summaries are meant to be neutral in tone and provide warnings where the underlying content is profane, incendiary, violent, or in other ways objectionable.

3. Guidance. ClearSocial reviews content before posting and makes recommendations for making it more helpful and less harmful to constructive dialog.

4. Translation. ClearSocial is being trained on terminology for a number of online interests that are rich in memes and technical jargon so that it can help newcomers feel less unwelcome.
